Just finished the Channel lock factory tour you (stephanie) posted on your website. Very informative. I found the forging of the white hot metal components especially interesting as well as the heat treating. I always wondered why I could brute force (flex) the tool, have it retain its grip on whatever I was using it on, then return to its original shape.

Love your show. Wish there were more shows like this. Regarding this morning show I am with first caller. I use online reviews for everything. I usually don't review back unless it is a really great service/product and then I will. Especially with local business/home business. They need all the help they can get. Not that I believe everything I read. A person has to use common sense but I try to learn as much as I can about any projects I need to do or materials or especially business ratings. But if I have a bad/defective product I will call the company and deal directly with them. I have had so many bad experiences with 'specialists'. Not following through or zero call backs or not knowledgeable. And living so rural I have a hard time finding products I need local. Which brings me to my question. I had called you a couple weeks back about windows in a log home. I live in Oakley and have been trying to find someone who could help me with different projects on this home mostly all related to log problems. Help with purchase of the proper materials/brands for chinking, staining, patching cracks and so on. And someone who can help with some of the projects. I cannot find anyone knowledgeable in the Cassia or Twin area. I'm having issues with this home which I just moved into last fall. Am also trying to find someone local who can help with problems in an all stone shower. And since most are small jobs, I get put on hold and get the feeling they don't want to spend the time on small money repairs.
Many thanks for your show and knowledge. And I appreciate how kind you are with online guests and take the time to listen to us.

Have never felt so poorly treated and unsatisfied. We had our house built in 2003 and after 5 years started getting flaking issues which I ignored for a few years...then things started getting worse. So I finally researched and saw how big the trouble was and filed a claim with Trex. They very kindly offered to replace the entire mess but "only" with the same "Fixed" product. I saw all the trouble people had with mold and had a bit of trouble on my existing board so I asked to get credit toward thier newer product Transcend. Trex absolutely shut me down. I was resonable and offered to pay the difference if they would just send me the new product instead of the old. They said NO I had to get a refund them buy Transcend at Retail. I explained to them that repaying retail as well as the demo and disposal and reistalation of "Trex's problem" would cost me an extra $4K. In the end they said NO NO and I said See you later, NOT. I would never deal with these guys again. Stay away from Trex.
